Art Programme
In alignment to the school’s vision of enriching the pupils beyond limits, Tampines Primary School seeks to develop the pupils holistically. Art education is one of the areas where pupils are given the opportunity to develop their creativity and explore their imagination. TPS adapts the MOE’s Art Framework using the 3 prong approach: “Seeing, Expressing and Appreciating” to design the art curriculum. Pupils will also be exposed to at least 2 learning journeys in art where opportunities will be provided for them to visit an art exhibition or attend an art workshop outside the school.
For the P1 level, Art is integrated into the curriculum and opportunities are provided across subject disciplines to express their artistic talents.
For P2 to P5 levels, Art is taught by a specialized art teacher. Pupils are exposed to various drawing, painting techniques as well as craft using recycled items among others.
