In every house, there must first be strong foundations. In every home, there must first be firm ties and bonds. The EL PowerHouse commits herself to building such strong foundations, firm ties and bonds. Foundations that allow one to reach for the stars, and experience a STELLAR explosion. Ties and bonds that hold us DEAR to one another. Once in awhile, pour in a little SPOTLIGHT on STUDENTS, that others may share in our pride of them. Of course, one must also learn to laugh and cry in the course of time, dance to the rhythm of the DRAMA in education of life, engage in Project WORK that brings meaning to learning and always, always operating on the premise of being enriched beyond limits and loved beyond measure.
STELLAR
STELLAR taps on children’s love for stories and provides our P1-2 students greater interaction with the English Language. They learn grammar and vocabulary in context as they experience the language. Fun activities are incorporated into the units to enhance their learning. Language becomes relevant and enjoyable! A thumbs-up programme!
DEAR (Drop Everything And Read)
DEAR exposes students to a variety of reading materials. Time is locked down for every child to engage in reading. Students race against time to complete as many books as they can! The aim is to read, read and read! After all, “you are what you read”!

Project Work
Project Work opens up gateways for our students’ creativity to burst forth! What’s the best way to tell a story? What’s the best way to advertise a product? What’s a catching headline? A captivating title? Our students work their way through to construct various text types. Who knows? They could the next Roald Dahl, C.S. Lewis…Sumiko Tan? Catch their first beginnings here…
Drama in Education
Drama gets one in touch with the soul. Emotions go beyond words. Equipped with drama techniques, our students learn to communicate with one another socially and emotionally. Powerful! Star Awards may need a new category soon!
