As part of our school programme to promote healthy lifestyle, we worked together with Heath Promotion Board (HPB) to organize a ‘Power Up Your Health” Fair from 1st July to 9th July. The objectives of the Health Fair are to educate pupils about health topics in a holistic manner and to reinforce positive health behaviours.
All pupils participated in the health exhibition which included experiential learning through Interactive exhibits (i.e. sensory approach), IT multimedia and static displays and 3D models.
As part of the Health Fair programme, Nestle co-sponsored with HPB to provide Milo drinks for all pupils and staff. A mass workout was also conducted by trained instructor for primary three to Primary six pupils. Gardenia co-sponsored with HPB to carry out a Healthy Sandwich-making Competition for thirty groups of pupils and parents.
Ten groups of pupils and parents went into final round for the sandwich- making competition. Gardenia sponsored trophies and vouchers for the top ten groups of finalists. Besides that, a nutrition skit was also planned by Gardenia to provide more nutrition information to primary one and two pupils. Through this Health Fair, pupils became more aware of healthy living habits.
