It is indeed our pleasure in Tampines Primary School to have the opportunity of hosting many honourable guests.

Our Honoured Guest List
We were honoured when Mrs S R Nathan joined us to celebrate Children’s Day on 24th September 2007.

Our former Minister for Education, Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam visited our school on the 14th November 2007 to find out more about the Teach Less, Learn More initiatives in our school. Mr Tharman held several interesting dialogue sessions with our school teachers and pupils.

        

The Founder of Habits of Mind, Professor Art Costa took time to visit our school despite his packed schedule and was delighted when our choir performed the Habit of Mind song specially composed by our Music Director, Mdm Goh Chiew Chin.

Professor Art Costa gave a talk during the HOM conference which was held in the school from the 3^rd to 4^th June 2010. It was a well-received talk with participants from various schools in Singapore giving accolades on the massive and useful knowledge gained. The guest speakers include staff from the Waikiki School (Hawaii).Our school choir also performed the Habit of Mind song to the participants. During the conference, the school was privileged enough to have Professor Art Costa to officially open the HOM Mural.

On the 8^th May 2010, the school held its Open House. The aim was to invite the community to view the facilities of the school. The school also wanted to show her appreciation to the community for their cooperation during the time when the school was undergoing construction. The school was very honoured to have Mr Masagoes to grace the event.
