Principal's Message

We are pleased to share that Tampines Primary School has been awarded the Singapore Quality Class. This is an affirmation and encouragement to all my staff and me. We will continue to do our best to enrich our children beyond limits and love them beyond measure.
Moving forward, we will focus on the following:
- delivering a holistic education that encompasses cognitive, aesthetics, creative, technology, physical, leadership and social-emotional-moral-mental development)
- enhancing academic excellence by implementing benchmarking project proposal.
- enhancing engaged learning through the application of PoETEL (Practices of Effective Teaching and Engaged Learning – a school-based TLLM innovation. It also incorporates the use of ICT to provide opportunities for self-directed and collaborative learning.
- increasing efforts in character development. Our pupils are encouraged to be mutually engaged in their learning through PoETEL. This is part of our character development efforts to enable them to demonstrate and live the Hallmark of a Tampinesian.
- deepening practices of Professional Learning Community (PLC) to enhance teacher-driven professional excellence. A continuous effort to grow our staff is critical in our commitment to provide the holistic education for our pupils.
Our new building provides facilities such as the black box, amphitheatre, indoor sports hall, open-air parade square, eco-garden, teaching laboratories, mathematics and science rooms incorporating the concept of learning beyond the classroom. Bearing in mind the concept of ‘school as a learning tool’, we are optimizing the space to create a vibrant learning environment for our pupils.
Recognizing the School Advisory Committee (SAC), parents and the community as our partners and co-workers, we collaborate with them to bring out the best in every child. Such collaboration has also made our pupils’ learning more exciting and meaningful. Together, we can create a powerful synergy that will propel us to scale greater heights to achieve our school vision and mission.
