Tampines Primary School was awarded its first Achievement Award in Sports in 2008. This award is given to schools whose sporting team has achieved a top four position in the zonal or national competition. The junior girls of the school basketball team did the school proud when they finished fourth in the East Zone Basketball Tournament in 2008. We are set to attain our second Achievement Award in Sports this year after our Junior Boys overcame strong opposition to clinch third position in the East Zone Basketball Tournament 2009.
