CCE was established in June, 1992.  It is a volunteer group which aims at making many friends globally, promoting an international exchange at children’s borderless level and cultivating the international awareness of children in the next generation.

 The head office is in Sendai, and its branches are in Tokyo, Osaka and Hokkaido.  There are 138 members.  Members mainly live in Sendai.  CCE organized the “CCE International Conference for Children in Miyagi” as part of its 10th and 15th CCE Anniversary with children from Asian countries. 

 CCE started her first 10-day homestay exchange programme with Tampines Primary in 2004. Both CCE and Tampines Primary have benefited much from the exchange programmes. 

The President, Mrs Haga, wishes that through the exchange programmes, interaction and mutual understanding will be cultivated amongst the children across nations. The children will grow to value and promote peace and friendship amongst people of different nations and races.
