This year the Brownies will have meetings every Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. They play and sing, not forgetting sitting for tests to qualify for the different badges. They will be trying out outdoor cooking in the second term. They will learn to bake potatoes and sweet potatoes using backwoodsman’s cooking technique and they will cook instant noodle using mess tins. Besides, the brownies will render their service during the Games Carnival and help to raise funds by selling cookies manufactured by Khong Guan Biscuits. During the Observance Ceremony on National Day, a few brownies will be selected to march with the other Uniformed Groups members from Tampines Secondary School. Lastly, there will be the usual annual 3-day camp in school at the end of the year. In a nutshell, they brownies will have a meaningful and enjoyable time this year.
