To train and equip players with the fundamental basketball skills and techniques.

To equip pupils with the knowledge of different offensive and defensive strategies.

To encourage school team players to participate in external competitions and friendly matches.

Basketball is a Core CCA in TPS. This year, we will conduct a recruitment drive for pupils in Primary 3 to 6. We have also engaged a highly experienced coach to conduct training twice a week for the school team.

Every year, our junior and senior school team players participate in the East Zone Inter-Primary Schools Basketball Tournament. Last year, our junior girls team were placed in the top eight and fourth position in the National and East Zone competition respectively.

There will be also an annual Basketball camp organized by the teachers-in-charge together with the Basketball alumni. The camp activities will include training sessions, leadership and teambuilding activities incorporating our school values and habits of mind. Indeed, it is hoped that inter-sports cooperation will be enhanced and also developing our players holistically in the process.
